وَٱلضُّحَىٰ
By the morning brightness
(In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
(1. By the forenoon.) (2. By the night when it darkens.) (3. Your Lord has neither forsaken you nor hates you.) (4. And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present.) (5. And verily, your Lord will give you so that you shall be well-pleased.) (6. Did He not find you an orphan and gave you a refuge) (7. And He found you unaware and guided you) (8. And He found you poor and made you rich) (9. Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression.) (10. And repulse not the one who asks.) (11. And proclaim the grace of your Lord.)
وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ
And [by] the night when it covers with darkness,
(In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
(1. By the forenoon.) (2. By the night when it darkens.) (3. Your Lord has neither forsaken you nor hates you.) (4. And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present.) (5. And verily, your Lord will give you so that you shall be well-pleased.) (6. Did He not find you an orphan and gave you a refuge) (7. And He found you unaware and guided you) (8. And He found you poor and made you rich) (9. Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression.) (10. And repulse not the one who asks.) (11. And proclaim the grace of your Lord.)
مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ
Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you].
(In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
(1. By the forenoon.) (2. By the night when it darkens.) (3. Your Lord has neither forsaken you nor hates you.) (4. And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present.) (5. وَلَلۡأَخِرَةُ خَيۡرٌ۬ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ
And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].
(In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

وَلَسَوۡفَ يُعۡطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضَىٰٓ
And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.
(In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
(1. By the forenoon.) (2. By the night when it darkens.) (3. Your Lord has neither forsaken you nor hates you.) (4. And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present.) (5. And verily, your Lord will give you so that you shall be well-pleased.) (6. Did He not find you an orphan and gave you a refuge) (7. And He found you unaware and guided you) (8. And He found you poor and made you rich) (9. Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression.) (10. And repulse not the one who asks.) (11. And proclaim the grace of your Lord.)
أَلَمۡ يَجِدۡكَ يَتِيمً۬ا فَـَٔاوَىٰ
Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلاًّ۬ فَهَدَىٰ
And He found you lost and guided [you],
(In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
(1. By the forenoon.) (2. By the night when it darkens.) (3. Your Lord has neither forsaken you nor hates you.) (4. And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present.) (5. And verily, your Lord will give you so that you shall be well-pleased.) (6. Did He not find you an orphan and gave you a refuge) (7. And He found you unaware and guided you) (8. And He found you poor and made you rich) (9. Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression.) (10. And repulse not the one who asks.) (11. And proclaim the grace of your Lord.)
وَوَجَدَكَ عَآٮِٕلاً۬ فَأَغۡنَىٰ
And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.
(In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
(1. By the forenoon.) (2. By the night when it darkens.) (3. Your Lord has neither forsaken you nor hates you.) (4. And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present.) (5. And verily, your Lord will give you so that you shall be well-pleased.) (6. Did He not find you an orphan and gave you a refuge) (7. And He found you unaware and guided you) (8. And He found you poor and made you rich) (9. Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression.) (10. And repulse not the one who asks.) (11. And proclaim the grace of your Lord.)
فَأَمَّا ٱلۡيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡ
So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].

And as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].
